wanted to write about some things but forgot to.

last night i dreamt i was riding on a horse, a beautiful white horse, and i was some sort of an accidental warrior who took over cos the main hero was injured/missing/something like that. the last image i had in my mind, aside from galloping away as fast as we could to escape the baddies, was us leaping over the soldiers and through the open gate behind them. it was awesome. that feeling.

i think my bladder woke me up. (surprise, surprise)

but anyhow, i woke up deciding that horse riding will be one of the things i must do at lease once in my lifetime. on a white horse, please.

and i was thinking back on the treetop walk yesterday. trekking through the forest (i can call it that, right) on those uneven, sometimes extremely rocky paths, up and down endless stairs, crossing the 250m high bridge, all the while holding the hand of the fair, lanky boy i was buddied with. it felt like i was responsible for guiding and protecting him, for making him feel safe, the silent one with innocence so pure. when we walk, we instinctively choose the smoother path, away from rocks that jut out and fallen twigs. but now, somehow, it's different; we choose the path for them, the ones whom we're responsible for, while we ourselves settle for the rocky paths. and i thought, that must be what parents think when they bring up their children: always the best for them, even if it means they have to take the paths that are not easy.

i wish God will use superglue and glue my family back together.
